# Outlook Calendar

Each host connects Outlook from **Settings → My Integrations** using the Microsoft account that owns their working calendar.

## Connect and configure

Choose Outlook Calendar and complete authorization. Your Microsoft organization may require an administrator to allow the requested application permissions.

Review the calendars used for conflicts and the primary booking calendar. Set your timezone and weekly hours, then check the event's meeting location.

Microsoft Teams conferencing depends on a usable Microsoft calendar connection and the event's selected location. Do not assume a Teams link will be created for an event configured with a different location.

## Verify

Make a controlled booking and inspect the Outlook event, guest invitation and conferencing details. Confirm that a known busy event blocks the expected time.

## Troubleshoot

If authorization is blocked, share the Microsoft error with your organization's administrator. If the connection later stops working, reconnect and verify that the intended account and calendars remain selected.

For empty availability, check hours, time off, booking window, minimum notice, buffers and required hosts. Confirm that the calendar itself can be read before changing queue membership.

[Working-hour sets](/settings/working-hours.md) control when an event can be offered; they do not replace provider authorization.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://docs.distro.so/integrations/outlook-calendar.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `build a script that syncs our docs to a CMS` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
