# Member setup

Connect your calendar and set your availability before sharing a booking link or receiving routed meetings.

## Set yourself up

1. Check your name and timezone under **Settings → Profile**.
2. Connect your calendar and select the primary calendar used for bookings.
3. Choose conferencing if your meetings need a video link.
4. Set working hours, notice periods, buffers, and out-of-office time under **My Availability**.
5. Ask your admin which queue and event types you use.

See [Calendars and availability](/scheduling/availability.md).

## Share a booking link

Open **Booking links → My Personal Links**, preview the link, and copy it into your message. Use your personal link when the meeting should be with you.

Use your team's approved form or workflow when the prospect needs qualification, account-owner matching, or assignment to another teammate. A personal link does not run that routing automatically.

See [Booking links and handoffs](/scheduling/booking-links.md).

## Start a seller-led workflow

Where your team's extension version exposes workflows, open the Distro extension, confirm the workspace and prospect, select the approved workflow, and complete its inputs.

Review prefilled values before starting. The workflow can update CRM records and notify teammates. If it returns a scheduler, book a time or use the scheduling page according to your team's process.

If the workflow is missing, ask your admin to check its published version, activation, access, and extension availability. See [Browser extension workflows](/workflows/extension.md).

## Manage meetings

Open **Bookings** to review upcoming meetings and their details. Use the available meeting actions to reschedule, cancel, reassign, or mark a no-show.

These actions can trigger follow-up workflows and turn refunds. Follow your team's process before changing a meeting.

If you receive fewer meetings than expected, ask your admin to check your queue status, calendar readiness, profile rules, and assignment history.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://docs.distro.so/get-started/member-setup.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `build a script that syncs our docs to a CMS` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
